Just after McCain introduced hurricane Palin to the country, another hurricane chose to steal her thunder. Gustav is no VP candidate but surely captured national limelight away from the Republican convention and Palin.
I believe these hurricane names are alphabetical with Hanna and Ike following Gustav. McCain should have picked a VP candidate who legitimately preceded Gustav. Huckabee, Romney and Jindal don't cut it. Maybe a less popular Lindsay Graham. McCain clearly missed a trick.
